For the Filling:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce – store-bought or homemade

  • 1 tsp Aromi Spices Tuscan Sunset spice blend
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Topping:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Aromi Spices Tuscan Sunset spice blend

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the centre and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  2. Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1cm thick.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced ham or pepperoni, diced capsicum, diced onion, and Tuscan Sunset spice blend evenly over the sauce.

Roll and Slice:

  1. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  2. Slice the log into 2-3cm thick pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Scrolls:

  1. Brush the tops of the scrolls with olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining Tuscan Sunset spice blend and grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the scrolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve:

  1. Allow the scrolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm as a tasty snack or a fun meal option.
