-
1 ½ cups self-raising flour (plus extra for dusting)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
Pinch of salt
For the Topping:
-
2–3 tbsp Aromi Dukkah
-
1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
To Serve:
-
Hummus (store-bought or homemade)
-
Extra Dukkah + olive oil for drizzling
-
Optional: lemon wedges, fresh herbs like parsley or coriander
👩🍳 Method
-
Make the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine the yoghurt, self-raising flour, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Mix until it forms a soft dough. Knead briefly until smooth. -
Roll & Toast:
Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Roll each one out into a rough oval or circle, about ½ cm thick. -
Cook the Flatbread:
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden spots appear. Brush with olive oil while still warm. -
Add the Dukkah:
Sprinkle each flatbread generously with Aromi Dukkah while still warm so it sticks to the oil. -
Serve:
Spread or dollop hummus on a plate. Top with torn or sliced dukkah-spiced flatbread, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle a little extra dukkah on top. Add herbs or lemon wedges if you like.
💡 Tips & Ideas
-
Add a little crushed garlic to your hummus for extra flavour.
-
Want more kick? Add chilli flakes to the dukkah.
